Supertech oil filters are awesome and inexpensive, but they're even cheaper through Walmart Grocery for some reason:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/SuperT.../992478210 - $3.97
https://grocery.walmart.com/ip/Su.../992478210 - $2.97

https://www.walmart.com/ip/SuperT.../842463968 - $3.97
https://grocery.walmart.com/ip/Su.../842463968 - $2.97

https://www.walmart.com/ip/SuperT.../803714395 - $3.97
https://grocery.walmart.com/ip/Su.../803714395 - $2.97

I also saw some AC Delco that were cheaper through Grocery, so it may not be limited to Supertech only.

Looks like this is the same company that makes FRAM filters, UCI International.

Just put one in the car yesterday for the first time. The box says "up to 10,000 miles" - which is the FRAM ToughGuard filter claim (those are about $13). Regular FRAM is 6K miles and about $8 (for my car). I paid less than $3 for this filter.

Also, SuperTech Full Synthetic 5qt bottles are $14.50 = $18 for a full synthetic oil change.

The 2.97 is the same price in the stores. It appears the Walmart grocery price matches the store prices. Wal-Mart.com can vary from in store prices, sometimes higher or lower. The filters for $3 and 5 QT of ST syn oil for $15 are a good price for an oil change that's available everyday.

If that's the case...I wouldn't put them on a tricycle. They used to be made by WIX...those were a bargain at WM prices. Fram...notsomuch.

Walmart sells some cheap stuff but, I doubt they would risk a class action lawsuit by damaging engines across America. I just find it hard to believe that anyone, let alone Walmart, would cell "tricycle" quality filters anywhere in the US.

Other companies sell the same exact filters under different private labels...even some OEMs use it.

...many amateur youtuber videos out there on the quality of FRAM, Wix, etc, and nobody is complaining... but the opposite.

It's possible FRAM has mended its ways...but most 'car guys' that I know won't use them. Then again..Quaker State used to be horrible oil and they've gotten quite a bit better.

Zebras can change their stripes, evidently.

Yeah, the quality of parts in have improved since the 90s ... they still had asbestos brakes until the late 90s!

Decent maintenance, even with cheap parts, will keep it running over 200k miles, nowadays.

Most problems today are electrical or at the seals. Some people get transmission replacements because of a $10 sensor or a $100 solenoid pack or a $20 gasket failure.... meanwhile, mechanically, it's was like new on the inside until that part failed after 120K miles.
