Costco Cedar summit swing set YMMV 1/2 off $1000

Almost bought this online at $1500.00 and instead went with something on wayfair which I then canceled after seeing this for $1000.00 at the nanuet Costco and a available in store for take home. 10 year warranty and costco backed. Especially with the kids being out of school and bored if this buys me some peace, well worth it for this "epic" swing set. Putting it together tomorrow and will repost my experience. 1 double slide not shown in picture and the twisty slide included. May add a separate zipline from the top if possible.

The one in the store is called hilltop. Not exactly the same as the summit. $999 is the normal price at Costco. Still a good deal though.

I recently bought and build the in-store hilltop model myself. Was able to do it almost entirely by myself with occasional help from wife and with 2 8' step ladders. The instructions are crap and are completely wrong in a few places. So if you don't have good problem solving skills combined with being mechanically inclined, pay someone else.

Goodluck building it. I paid someone around $250 to build it and it took him something like 5-6 hours and he was going fast and he does it for a living. I saw several big bags of screws and told my self "hell no."

The tube is the hard part

My neighbor just put up one with a tube and said it was a bear! Wife wants a swing in the yard asap so might pull the trigger. Wish the uprights were 4x4s on the main assembly though...

10 year warranty. Just take it back in 10 years, your kids will have outgrown it.

For some reason they dont keep it on the US site but this is the correct swing.
I bought mine a few weeks ago for $999 still a great deal, they sell out quick.

This one is awesome. If you have time, worth assembling on your own. Not easy, but can be done.

From reading other comments, seem worth getting a handyman or bored construction worker...

I didn't know this at the time, but there is an app call BILT that show the step by step instructions with pictures on how to build it. The app have many other products such as Weber grills.

I compared the app instructions to the printed and they were both wrong in the same places.

I started building a similar one with a full roof and stopped about 1/64 of the way through. passed the work off because of how many screws and parts it had. First thing I did was inventory everything. good thing because the main wood beam was split. company sent me new wood beam within a week (pretty good customer service).
stained if every season. sold house and new owners wanted it.

still have a bag of "spare" parts in my tool shed.

That is a dang good deal at $1000. I have been checking daily for the Hilltop at my Costco for $1000. Swingsets are the new toilet paper now

Are you sure you bought the Austin in-store for $1000?
You mentioned a double slide. The Hilltop has a double slide but the Austin ($1500 on Costco.com) has a single slide.

I noticed this today after unloading it from the van but it's a good deal for what Included. There are a ton of parts but working through it little at a time.
