Verizon Prepaid 16gb Plan - $35 per month for new accounts - $60 one time port in credit

Verizon has a new promo that there 16gb (8+8 double data) is now $35 after autopay, and extra $10 savings a month.

Discount begins on 2nd month and $60 port in available according to terms, which almost offsets the first two months.

$60 back (one time) if you port in a number, not bad for prepaid, I think its payable after 2nd month

I know its not as cheap as some other services but some like the reliability of Verizon Prepaid.

$10 discount also available on unlimited plan

Needless to say have to port in and either bring your own compatible device or buy one at full retail price.

It is still a good deal for new customers if you want Verizon service and don't want to deal with Visible which requires party pay and is LTE only. Its arguable but the general consensus is that Verizon Prepaid has higher network priority than Visible.

If you are on the 16gb plan its metered so as much of it as you want as it goes towards your usage. As far as the unlimited plan which also has a $10 savings which I did not post about, I presume there is a limit or throttle to what you can do with hotspot but tbh I don't know the answer. I know on my prepaid plan which is 16gb I am unthrottled.

Right now I am on TMObile and AT&T. They are legacy plans that are very cheap each year (T-Mobile is only $10 a year, AT&T is only $100 a year). I want to keep these plans (and phone numbers). If I don't port in, I don't get the $60?

The deal is new as of today but the $60 is a port in offer. Can't you get a burner number from Google Voice or something to port in, Google Voice charges $3 to unlock a number to port out so net $57

I've never used Google Voice. Is it really that easy?

You go to your gmail account and then you login to voice.google.com and create a number. You then find the page (search) where you unlock your number for $3, The number is than free to port out. You can they get another number at Google Voice to keep if you want.
