TU While it doesn't match the $48 deal from Nov this is a good deal on the current version (presumably there will be a 2021 version before too long as they skipped 2020 for updates on the ultra), aside from a youtube bug (it occasionally crashes with the current firmware though it's gotten better as of late) I quite love this (2019) version of the ultra vs the 2017 version it replaced in my main area. It's a bit quicker response wise for swapping channels but if you have the 2018 it's not really worth an upgrade unless you're experiencing problems, *REALLY* want to specify a shortcut to some other app, or perhaps need another voice remote/ear buds.

Whoa $48?? Sucks i missed that. Is this the best one most stable, fastest if this will be the first Roku one acquires?

Yes. This model seems to go for around $50 on Black Friday, but I'm not sure it's gone that low outside that time of the year. This is a great price for a great device.

Agreed! I was able to grab a couple at the $50 price (availability was limited) and absolutely love them! I actually haven't used the Firestick since installing the Roku. This Roku is my go to. The headset is an added bonus. You won't be disappointed.

Anyone have any experience with this with high-bit rate 4k HDR remuxes from Plex, my Firestick 4k doesn't really cut it?

I love my Roku, but I really wish they would add gigabit Ethernet.

This does HDR and Dolby Atmos for pretty much all the apps.. but note it does not handle truehd so you'll lose Atmos on rips that don't have DD+ versions.

Not sure about an HDD, power requirements and whatnot. It will take a USB drive though, I've used a USB 3.0, up to 256GB. If you're using it for videos take a look at the codec requirements.
