Not very likely. The hotels are a different story. Marriott owns very few of its own hotels these days. The hotel owners enter into multiyear contracts with companies like Marriott allowing them to use a specific brand.
what's the probability that Marriott goes bankrupt?
Do know that some properties don't know how to process gift cards and may deny use. Happened to me in Japan, and you also get hit by currency.

Marriott is mainly a management company. I think they will be safe.

According to the FAQ, these e-gift cards never expire, and they can be transferred to other people.

My question... do you receive Marriott Bonvoy points for the $ spent on the purchase of the e-gift cards, or when they are spent at the hotel?

I have a Marriott credit card. Am I right to assume I don't get extra points by using that credit card on their website on gift cards, making this deal even better?

Or if you buy them with a Marriott credit card

Does anyone know if these can be used to pay for incidentals, like parking and on-site restaurants?

Assuming people can travel again this time next year, a 20% return isn't bad if you know you do a lot of business travel.Too bad there's no Amex offers on buying from Marriot to stack right now. There are people who burn $1000-$2500 a week on Marriot hotels before the pandemic happened
