I own the blue ray of tombstone (there is no 4k version) and the disc version has terrible lighting and visual qualities that actually make the film less enjoyable to watch than the DVD version... here's hoping the digital version doesn't suffer from the same issues. At 4.99 I'm willing to find out.

FYI: There's a $25 FandangoNow Gift Card for $20 at Newegg (e-mail delivery) ~ 20% off:

https://slickdeals.net/f/14045357-fandangonow-25-gift-card-email-delivery-newegg-20?v=1&src=SearchBarV2

If you don't have a Newegg account, FandangoNow has 15% off gift cards directly from their site:
https://www.fandangonow.com/giftcards

Also, there's a free movie rental offer with a $5 purchase from FandangoNow if you pay with Mastercard:
https://www.fandangonow.com/promo...f30a24060f

Since all of these movies are MA, it doesn't really matter which retailer you choose (although iTunes might give you a 4K when/if it's available).

You are right on this. If you buy Tombstone and watch it before this deal ends (Monday night I assume), please post your findings here. Finding reviews of specific digital streaming movies on specific services is pretty difficult except on the most popular ones (i.e. Marvel).

Tombstone and Con Air Blurays were both $5.99 at BB.com various times, and at least once during a B1G1F (though I believe the price got raised to $7.99 at that time so $4 each). Any old Disney Bluray should be obtainable for $8 or less with a DMC enrollment. I would always pay $3 more for a physical Bluray over streaming... unless the only existing Bluray is a poor transfer and it's a movie I especially like, such as Tombstone.

In general, as I've said many times, I find it hard to get excited over $5 digital streaming movies when the physical Blurays are often similarly priced, but I'm glad that we're seeing more and more $5 deals, especially on 4K streaming. I think $5 should be the normal price of most old digital streaming movies. Every week each streaming service seems to give us a list of dozens of $5 HD or 4K movies on sale. I look at the lists and rarely buy any.

I was recently told that specialty Bluray labels (Criterion, Shout, Kino Lorber, Twilight Time, Olive, etc.) apparently have to pay studios about $10 per disc they sell in licensing fees, but when it comes to these digital streaming movies apparently studios are willing to take a lot less. It doesn't make sense to me.

If I could buy Blurays of movies that have no cheap Bluray available (such as Blurays that only exist as a MOD or by the specialty/boutique labels) which normally sell in the $12-$30 range, I'd be all over them for a $5 digital copy. However, the $5 selection in these weekly threads usually seems to be the ones where the physical Blurays have been cheap. This is not a complaint about posting these threads which are legitimate "deals". I'm just stating that most of the $5 movies are ones I already got cheap on Bluray. TL;DR

Had a lot of these on my wishlist as Disney catalog digital titles tend to rarely drop in price especially this low. Picked up Real Steel, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, Enemy of the State, and Tombstone through Google Play using some Play store credit as well. Already bought Gone in 60 Seconds from a previous sale
