Because it's a quote from their website, not something I'm saying. When you quote something/somebody, you use quotes.

i5-1035G1 is a 10th Generation processor, [intel.com] in case others were also wondering.

This seems like a solid deal. Agreed on ensuring you customize for some reasonable upgrades (1080p screen, free Optane storage, and wifi ac).

Would someone mind offering some suggestions for specific upgrades as available to choose from to make it a little more gaming-worthy and generally better - while still keeping it a "deal?"

$30 upgrade option, if it's worth it to you

since a dedicated gpu is not an option, I wouldn't say this is gaming-worthy. if you had to get this laptop, then the only suggestion is upgrading it to the i7 with the better integrated gpu. just don't expect any competent level of gaming performance.

I've only had good experience with HP. that doesn't mean I think that HP is always the way to go. everyone's personal experience will differ, and it's always a gamble, regardless of manufacturer.

On the struggle bus here...clearly seeing this exact laptop with an i7 for the same price just a few short months ago (quick google search) but it IS a good deal based on today's prices. I need a laptop but can wait a month or so. To wait or not to wait?

I digress. Good deal in today's market. Good reviews and very few concerns. Thanks OP.
