Sounds like a green light to me.
Hahah come on man. Really you want to compare this to a 50 dollar eBay rack? No comparison

This is an awesome rack. I've used it for a year and it holds up. Gone are the days of worrying about $4k in bikes falling off the car. I could see some concern about the plastic parts wearing out.

Bought mine 2 yrs ago from backcounty and I think it was much cheaper and you also get a swag stuff worth $25 when you register through their website. Problem with this for an ebike or a Cannondale lefty. Tends to slip forward. Still using it with my Turbo levo, but Add another velcro strap on top of the rear ladder lock strap for the back wheels for assurance. I believe its a great budget rack from a great company for regular bikes. Plus I bought this over the NV 2.0 because it fits on the rear compartment of my corolla when folded.

No offense, but I doubt you got it much cheaper as I've been looking for awhile and even dug through old slickdeals to see what the cheapest it's been. This rack doesn't get "much cheaper". Maybe you got a transfer 1

This is a great rack. I've been using it for a few years now and never had a problem. Bikes are always secure and I drive like a moron.

I did a ton of research before buying this rack and I was aware of its short comings. 1. It is tedious to change the length settings. 2. It is heavy (but definitely sturdy, unlike some Yakimas I've heard are known to bend). 3. It is bulky. 4. As someone else mentioned, some of the plastic bits look like they can wear out or crack.

But for an occasional trip like I use it for, it's great. My car has a class 2 hitch and my wife's has a class 3 and its quick to change between the two. Definitely would recommend.

I notice no lock, anyone have this and can say if they've been able to get a lock to secure when leaving the bikes on?

up to 45lbs/Bike! If you have a e-bike, this may not work for you.
