Suggest adding "Cuisinart" to post OP - solid brand makes this much more appealing

Heads up re reviews:
Because this is a multi item listing, the reviews are mixed. Top review gripes about batteries for example bc they bought a digital one etc

Picked up a set. These will come in handy as my wife prefers her steak cooked a bit more than I do. Always have to guess and I'm usually wrong. Thanks for posting!

I had a similar looking set from World Market (their house brand I think). Unless I wasn't supposed to wash them, they got water in the gauges when I washed them.

Anyone know if that's normal? Might give these a try.

Per the product page: "When finished grilling, simply drop the gauges in your dishwasher for safe and convenient cleaning and sterilizing."

Sounds pretty waterproof to me.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't even looked at the product page, was just looking for real world experience with these. I decided to place an order any ways since I tossed the older ones I had because the water inside the gauge started to not go away quickly and it was messing up the printing inside the gauge.

Might be cool but hard to justify getting this when I already own a Thermapen. That works so well and helps be achieve the correct temperature on the steaks.

Seems to give mixed info on the page, as it also says "Hand washing is recommended, do not submerge the face of the thermometer in water."

Had one it worked ok. Temp was a bit low but it did the job. Lasted about 2 years.

This, get a thermapen or at least their $30+ pop thermometer. You'll be surprised how often you use it. Chicken, shrimp, fish, steak, burgers all cooked perfect.

Uhhh, yeah when you're comparing the OP's item to something that costs 10 times more, of course it will be better.

Like, just yesterday, I almost bought a new Honda Civic, but then I looked at the McLaren 570S and thought- why not?... Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
