This is true. I did however see they are planning on September this year they are making final adjustments.

Please don't pre-order games. Especially something like this where it's not a physical copy or special edition.

I've never preordered a game before, but was considering it in this case because of the discounted price. Why shouldn't I preorder it? Honestly looking for advice.

You can also get for 49.99 from Epic too with current coupon. I would wait see it drop and use Epic coupon at later time, maybe cheaper no sense to pre-order digital item.

I know a lot of people say you shouldn't preorder a game but CDPR is a fantastic developer that deserves it. Especially when you're getting a pretty nice discount for a brand new game.

I think because many people have very bad experience pre-ordering, since the game came out really bad, some of my personal examples are No Man's Sky, Fallout 4, Mass Effect: Andromeda.
But for game studios like CD Projeckt Red, it seams like the experience is really good, so i would not suggest against it since it's $14 off the full price.

CDKey's terms and conditions regarding pre-order below - they might not get you the code before release for you to pre-load. But they also could, I guess. I went ahead and got it because I've always been impressed with them and $15 off this game seems like a good deal. First pre-order in years for me.

9. Pre-Orders
9.1 Buyers may pre-order Programs through the Online Shop. Buyers agree and understand that they are required to pay for the pre-order Programs on the date of the order but the Program will be sent to the Buyer on the date indicated on the Online Shop.
9.2 Although CDKeys.com shall use its best endeavours to deliver the CD keys for the pre-ordered Program prior to the official release date indicated on the Online Shop, CDKeys.com does not guarantee that the CD keys for the pre-ordered Program shall be delivered prior to the official release date. CDKeys.com shall not be responsible for any delay and/or failure in connection with the delivery of any pre-ordered Program. CDKeys.com may only guarantee the delivery of the CD keys that it receives from the Sellers.
9.3 Buyers acknowledge that the price of the pre-ordered Program may vary from time to time. Buyers further acknowledge that the sale of the pre-ordered Program may be revoked for any reason, in which case the Program Price paid for the pre-ordered Program shall be reimbursed by the Seller.

Just an assumption, but I'm thinking the reason they're offering preorders for a discount is probably because they are in need of funding to help finish the game. Some people might see this as a red flag that the game may be delayed. But I have faith in CDPR, fingers crossed!

I'm not against pre-ordering it and I'm not against CDKeys. But I am against pre-ordering it on CDKeys. While the $14 savings is good, CDKeys is a grey market seller of keys. That money you are saving is coming from regional pricing differences and that takes money out of the hands of CDPR and their ongoing development. If you played the Witcher, you will understand how incredible of a developer CDPR is and the support they have showered on the Witcher 3. (If you haven't played The Witcher 3 it is $5 right now on Epic!)

I myself have preordered 2077 directly from Gog.com as I want all my money directly to the team! I like to support creatives who treat me and my money with respect.

This exactly. In a world where it seems like most publishers only care about your money, it's a breath of fresh air when one cares more about taking pride in their work and passion for their fanbase. They really put effort into making their games as great as possible and it shows.

I was happy they announced the game was pushed back to make sure it was polished more. Shows they give a shit and not a cash grab.

If you absolutely cant afford the extra $15, I wouldn't be mad if you made this purchase. Everyone needs a chance to play this game, I honestly believe it will be another masterpiece.

Not sure why people would pre-order pc games at this age when you can instant buy, download, and play all in the same day. why take a risk when you can check reviews and game play videos to see if its good. Price won't increase after release but decreases after launch so there is zero benefits of buying before release.

Collector edition that comes with physical items is a different story.
