200-count for $15.99 == $0.07995 / cnt
Not everyone has a Costco membership. If you add in the 5% surcharge for nonmembers, it comes out to $0.08395 per bag which is more expensive than Target.

110 count at target is:

($8.99 - 5% redcard) / 110 = $0.07764 / cnt

200 count at Costco:is:
$15.99 / 200 + $75 membership = $0.07995 / cnt + $75

You can get it less if you apply for their citi card. But you have to pay tax on your original $15.99 and wait for 2% cashback. And still pay $75 for membership.

at target, you only pay tax after 5% off.

Not everyone has a RedCard discount, so you cannot subtract that in for Target and add the membership to Costco.
Costco trash bags also have a nice draw string/strap that helps it stay on the trash can properly.

Who pays $75 for a base Costco membership...? It's $60.

But, I do understand the extra expense if you don't already have a membership.

Sam's Club has it even better. Members Mark Power flex 200ct trash bags for $14.48 = 0.0724 /cnt
I buy these all the time and they work great.

Flap tie bags are not worth the discount. The bags are a pain in the butt.

Kinda apples and oranges to compare to drawsi at Costco or anywhere.

Flap ties suck!!!
