I have 3 of these covering several acres on our farm. Works great, very stable and only one is hard wired to Ethernet. The other two are meshing with it and distributing coverage. Works great between locations. Have two that are 800 feet apart and solid connection with direct line of sight.
UniFi WAPs were never built with the intention of a couple of people maxing out their wireless speed. They are more like enterprise WAPs where they are intended to function exceptionally well with MANY devices simultaneously. If you're wanting a WAP to give you pretty numbers on Speedtest or iperf, get consumer gear. If you want something with long term reliability and enterprise feature sets, then this is your gear.

Just going to put my 2 cents in here. This is a good deal. Not price mistake crazy kind of deal, but if you needed one, kind of deal. This is a price you should buy at.

Edit: to be extra helpful, you can use these without buying other Ubiquiti equipment. These can be setup on any computer after downloading and installing unifi the unifi controller, available by google if unifi controller download for Mac or windows.

The mesh is rated for outdoor use with mounting options on poles or walls, the lite indoor only on ceilings only for best results. Everything else is 100% identical. Decent deal, but this is old tech AC1200, can get TP link AC-1750's for a little more.

Would this be better or worse for indoor use compared to the circular Unifi AP AC-Lite or AP AC-LR? Currently running an Edgerouter X with PoE out.

How well does TP link integrate with a Ubiquiti controller?

It doesn't. At least you can't control/upgrade/provision from their controller.

Get a Lite if you want an indoor AP. This AP is more directional and the Lite will give you better all around coverage.

Exactly, that's my point.

The coupon works with any online order above $100. Looking to get the pro version of this for $177. Just a couple bucks off its best prices I've seen but these things rarely go on sale. Need some good outdoor coverage.
