The units in this sale are being sold as open box condition. That means that they have been opened due to being a photo sample, a tested good customer return or having damaged packaging. Some non-essential items may be missing from the box. The unit may not be shipped in retail packaging. That is the reason for the reduced sale price and the reduced warranty.

Not an expert by any means but I think the 2019 panel has more memory and the processor is faster. I think it is also g sync enabled and the 2018 panel lacks that ability. If you want to game specifically on the PC the 2018 is not a good chance. I believe also the 19 has better latency response times and better burn in protection.

Seems like a really good price, but after hearing so many bad stories on burn ins im scared to go oled. All my tvs i ever had has lasted me over 10 years easily including my current 70" 1080p 3d sharp aquos ive been wanting to replace. I heard depending on usage you will see burn ins after two years.

You're correct, you are not an expert. CPU and memory are not the panel.

The panel. The OLEDs that display an image is the same.

I'm implying if you don't need G-Sync or VRR in general as well as WiSA (no one buying an open box is buying for that feature)... Then this is a good buy because the actual image displayed isn't much off from the C9 or X9.

Things like eARC are useless as well if all you do is stream because there exists no streaming service that sends audio in a higher data rate than 7.1 channel compressed which is fine for standard ARC.

Please tell us all these bad stories. And yes that means quantity. 2 bad stories doesn't qualify as "so many".

Seems like a great deal, but i just can't pull the trigger on a TV that has been opened, used and only has a 30 day warranty. Wondering if the LG 1 year warranty exists with this product?

just had BB price match the New Egg deal deal for the C9 for $1,899 plus adding 5 year geek squad in case of burn in.

Ummm there have been more than 2 stories...same reason why so many used phones that are less than a year old such as the oneplus 7 are being sold with burn ins in the second hand market. Lg tvs are said to burn in after 4000 hours of usage. Depending on how much tv you watch that can be around 2 years.
Yes....you understand for something to "burn in" it must be the same image. What you are describing is an idiot who watch the same channel with the same channel logo or a game with the same HUD/stats displayed. Anyone else with an ounce of personality that enjoys a variety of games and other video entertainment have zero worries.

Put your logic hat on and realize how many of these OLED deals have passed through SD in the last 2 years. Got it... now show me the posts of SD users that are complaining about burn in warning others. Stop yourself though - don't go quoting other people that have no first hand experience like yourself - genuinely try and search for SD users with first-hand burn in issues.

I won't wait - you won't find.

No they will not - it's not even about authorized or unauthorized. It's about the AUA model sold through Club stores like Costco exclusively when new. any other sale outside of a Club warehouse tells them its not new.

Anyone who doesn't add geek squad to an OLED TV is an idiot. If the TV gets burn in, BB will replace it for you. So burn in isn't really an issue to worry about.
Geek squad covers all burn in issues? Lg and sony doesnt cover burn in on their warranty.
