Coming from someone who drinks tea 4x a day.. Price is higher and not everyone needs a foiled sachet that costs twice the normal. So might be something great for some and twice as pricy for others.

Dear OP, don't take offense...are these Japanese packages? All ingredients are listed in Japanese!
I take no offense in reasonable argument.

However I posted a specific product, and expect comments/votes about this specific product.
These clowns TD first, read tomorrow.

Here is my rationale:
I like to have a variety of tea flavors, and do not go through 4 teabags a day either. I do not expect many do either.
Therefore the tea packets without envelopes do not work well for me, they lose their flavor long before I am gone through the box - I tried.
The foil envelops allow me to have a variety of teas, for each guest taste, fresh.
For the foil wrapped tea, the price is 30% off of what I could buy in a store I used before COVID19, $3 for 20 packet box

Further:
While there are some may have a local store carrying their favorite tea in walking distance, I do not.
Not everyone does either.
The store I shop for these teas is over 20 mi away, and I have to pay $25 + in tolls and gas to get there and back. Think Brooklyn NY.
I also need to deal with all the social distancing, mask wearing, and the rest of that.

So tell me, even if we are talking about non-envelped tea, which costs around $6 in that store, and ~$8 on amazon on a good day,
does it make a reasonable case to pay $2 difference in price, and not make this drive?

As for the tea in the foil envelopes, this is an outstanding price compared to what I usually pay.

as for Japanese descriptions on the boix, you maybe right about the boxes were manufactured for Japan market, or at least the pictures on the Amazon site are. I do not usually see 100 pack of enveloped teabags from Ahmad, where I shop.
Does not matter, that does not change the tea, does it?

Update:
Got my box of tea today, the box descriptions are normal for Ahmad multilingual, not Japanese like in Amazon picture.
Once opened, to my dismay the envelopes were paper, not aluminum foil.

Speaking of tea, anyone know where or what's a good fruit flavored tea, preferably wild berry, not the herbal stuff. I am still sour after Lipton discontinued the Bavarian wild berry tea.

People who bought this should have looked at the description, nowhere does it say "foiled" wrapping.

As far as the people saying it is cheaper "at their middle eastern store" well not all of us have middle eastern stores around us.

Might as well get this one, the one I usually get.

No wrapping but cheaper.

Reading OP getting super worked up and screaming at everyone about how this is foil - and then not getting foil - just made my day.

By the way, my store brand tea is $3.99 for a 40ct of foil wrapped every day - meaning ~10 cents a bag or $10 for 100. So yeaaaaaaah, this really isn't a deal anyway.
