Kodiak 10'x14' Canvas Deluxe Flex Bow 8-Person Tent $487.49 + Free 2 day Shipping
Normally $649.99 and rarely ever go on sale

https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/k...erson-tent

Availability: In Stock

Store: Bass Pro Shops

You can sweetin the deal with a Cash back site and purchasing gift cards.
I used cardcookie to purchase Cabela's gift cards for 10% off, make sure you keep each order under $500 or it will get canceled just place 2 orders.
Yes, Cabela's gift cards work at bass pro, I purchased 4 gift cards and was able to use them all on my order.
I am not sure if there is a limit how many you can use on your order, Cabela's limits to 5.
Then I used a certain cashback site that has 10% cash back on Bass Pro right now. when all said and done my final price was $389.99 + Sales Tax Smilie

Thank you! You helped me save $85 compared to what my overall spend would have been through Amazon. It was a bit nerve-wrecking as I waited for the e-delivery of the gift cards but everything worked out!

How long did it take you to get the gift cards from CardCookie? It says within 24 hours, but wondering how fast it typically is.

Great tent. Just bought one last year and love it, used it several times. I highly recommend going with the 10'x14' version- a tent fills up really quickly when you get cots and gear all in one space. I've used ours many times, the set-up is relatively simple and doesn't take very long, maybe 10 minutes. Remember that you have to shock the canvas when you get it so that it will shrink and become watertight. I've sat in it with water pouring down on us and we didn't get a drop inside.

Note that these are indeed very heavy, something to keep in mind if you are not in a position to handle it (due to size, health, etc.). The heaviness comes from the canvas and the very durable plastic floor, which I love.

Edit: If anyone has any questions about the tent let me know and I'll do my best to answer.

Ordered last night after waiting to long thinking about it when it was reported at Cabelas as being on sale. Order status with Bass Pro now says "Ships Jun 1-8" so it wasn't actually in stock any longer unfortunately. Highly regarded tent that doesn't go on sale very often so as much as it hurts to spend the money this is a good opportunity to get this tent if you've been holding out like me.

Info directly from Kodiak's faqs website.

Q: Do I need to waterproof my tent when I first get it?

A: After initial set-up, it is suggested that you spray the tent with water and allow it to dry completely. This "seasons" the canvas. The water causes the canvas to shrink slightly, closing the needle holes where the canvas was stitched. The most effective way to do this is to have the tent out in its first good rain. This process is only required once.
VERY IMPORTANT—the tent must be completely dry before storage! STORING A WET OR DAMP TENT, EVEN FOR A SHORT TIME, WILL RUIN IT AND VOID THE WARRANTY.
If you want to be completely sure your tent is sealed and waterproof, it's not a bad idea to go over the seams, stitching, and stake loops with a SILICONE based waterproofing such as Kiwi Camp Dry®. This should absolutely prevent any leaks, and you should seldom, have to retreat.

Wait for a dry day when you have plenty of time, thoroughly soak the whole thing in the outside, and wait for it to dry 100%. That should be all there is to it- it'll be watertight from then on.

Really don't understand how BassPro has one single photo for all their products...

Here is the amazon link for a video and better descriptions.

I ordered the cards last night, but right after placing the order it transitions to a screen saying they only operate from 8am to 6pm ET. So I had to wait until the next morning, but they got the cards to me within an hour of opening up.

Be sure to monitor your order through Card Cookies website though and make sure you follow up with them if they request anything during their identity verification process.
