Logitech - K780 Wireless Keyboard for Multi-device Bluetooth - White $59.99 Best Buy

Sharing this as I've kept an eye on this for the past month. It's not the best price ever, but for those of you working from home using multi-devices (laptop, desktop, tablets, phones, etc), this has great reviews. Makes it easy to swap between your devices.

Type with this multi-device Logitech wireless keyboard. The built-in rubber cradle supports devices vertically, making small screens easily viewable, and 128-bit AES encryption keeps information private. Compatible with Windows, Mac, Chrome and Android devices, this Logitech wireless keyboard uses USB and Bluetooth technology to connect to your smartphone and tablet.

Good find at best buy, OP.
It's out of stock by Amazon and if you look at CCC, it used to be stable at $60 pricing but then the price spike (aka gouging lol) spiked it up since the covids. Smilie

Crap! I bought this for $45 back in November 2019 and returned it because I didn't utilize all 3 channels to justify it. Now that I'm working from home and using personal and work computers, I needed it again. Oh well. At least it's on sale, and I had some rewards certificates to burn.

I guess a lot of people are doing the same... it's OOO at Amazon!

Thanks OP!

I have this exact same keyboard, I can tell you it's not the best keyboard to type on...but the three channel functionality is God sent.

I too bought this one, returned it and bought the Logitech MX Advanced:

Well worth the extra cost for the backlighting and normal size arrow keys. The K780 is compact and harder to type on.

Have this for my home office, it's honestly great for work since it has a full number pad and is still very compact. Also it's relatively quiet which is great for conference calls. The only potential downsides are the function keys are a little tricky to use and it lacks a lot of dedicated keys. I've accidentally activated scroll lock in Excel a few times and have had to look up the Logitech keyboard shortcuts. Other keys are very intuitive like page up/down is fn+up/down arrow. Just something to keep in mind if your job is heavy with the function keys and other dedicated keys. Not a problem to get used to if you're good with typing.

I also bought last Nov and hate it. Absolutely hate the layout. If you are doing extremely casual work it's fine, but holy hell they made horrible choices on shifting/halving the arrow keys, moving the delete key on the function row, and shifted the numpad over.

For record I'm perfectly fine on keyboards for the macs, MBP, iPad Pro 11 (which has off-sized keys but I still do 130WPM), and any full-size or compact windows keyboards by MS or Logitech.

But this odd compact-or-full-size mixed weird layout on the K780 make it not ideal for any serious work. It's like you have four basic choices, 1)Mac compact 2)Mac full-size 3) windows compact 4) windows full-size, and this K780 is like the fifth oddity.

I hate this keyboard. It's fine if you are just typing some emails but nothing more. I'm getting the MX Master when graphite version hits $75 again...

Now I regret buying it again Frown

Just received it and paired with my iMac, Note10+ and MBP (running Windows 10) to test its functionality in all 3 platforms.

The typing experience was OK (not too bad, not great), switching between sources was pretty fast, but I agree with you; the layout change choices are horrible!

While the price seems nice, the layout seems like it might take some getting used to.

Dell offers two multi-machine keyboard plus mouse pairs for not much more (once you figure that it includes a mouse) https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...ccessories and https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...ccessories

I have this keyboard typically used on either my personal desktop or work laptop. It's pretty good, but there are no physical page up and page down buttons. You use function + up or down arrow. I don't need them on my desktop, but it would be helpful on my work laptop with all those PDFs I need to read.

I am considering this or the K800. Multi input is not a deciding factor for me, nor is space a concern. Can anyone speak to the tactile feel between the two keyboards? I don't know about the round keys, but am interested in opinions.

For anyone interested, I just picked up the MX Keys after having returned the K780. I liked the typing feel on both keyboards, the round keys of the K780 were not a problem at all. I liked the compact size of the K780 but as others have mentioned, it came with many compromises.

The deal breaker for me was that the I could not install the Logitech Options software on my work laptop, to which I do not have administrator rights. (I tried many workarounds, all to no avail.) Because of this, I could not set up the function keys to act as normal function keys in Windows. I'm a big Excel jockey, and having to hold down the fn key to use the F keys was maddening. (I could not get fn+Esc to do anything other than put my laptop to sleep!).

Other observations:
- I liked the dock feature on the K780. I could put both my personal and work phones there and get them "off" my desk.
- The backlight feature on the MX Keys is not a necessity, but a nice touch (I work in low light but not darkness)
- The wake feature on the MX Keys can be too sensitive, waking up my Mac unintentionally, but I'll learn to adjust
- Dedicated device switch keys on the MX Keys!
- Nice to have a Home button on the keyboard when working on my Mac
- MX Keys is wider than the K780, but not that much wider
- $30 more for the MX Keys is worth it over the K780. It's something I'll be using for hours EVERY SINGLE DAY.

NOTE: previous to getting the K780 and MX Keys, I was using two separate keyboards. For my Mac an older version of the Apple Magic Keyboard. For my laptop, the keyboard that was part of a Logitech K540 set. I used (and still use) the Logitech M720 that works with both my Mac and Windows laptop.

I highly recommend this keyboard if you're using it a PC connected to a home theater system or any of your consoles. It has greatly served me for awhile now.
