Just note that Zen 3 generate chips that's coming soon won't work with these B450 motherboards. Unless the motherboard manufacture comes up with a BIOS workaround.

Edit: NVM, AMD changed their mind 4 hours ago.

You're wrong. AMD has listened to its consumers and made the announcement this morning that 400 series chipset will support 4000 series Zen 3 CPUs.

I bought this board recently from Newegg and it came with the latest BIOS. No updates were required to run a 3400g.

For a low-end gaming rig, it's working out pretty well so far.

300 series definitely won't get it, unless it's somehow hacked in.

LOL @ all the SD wanna-be influencers who sternly lectured us for wanting 3 generations of support across AM4. Shout-out to yall--you can take down all your posts now. LMAO

I think we should hold off on saying that every 400 series board will work with Zen 3. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the lower end boards don't get a beta BIOS to enable it.

Yeah, it would have to be a really popular b350 board, and done by a group of individuals from 3rd world countries. Everyone else has moved onto better boards.

There's literally no reason they wouldn't. For boards with limited memory, AMD has said support for earlier generations of Ryzen can be dropped to make room for Zen 3 support in the BIOS memory space.
