What I thought too. At least overstock is credible. I guess I'll find out and see.

I would be skeptical as well, recently google searched a multi clad wok, bought it from a google store ad. It was a clothing store, and I thought maybe they are branching out. They shipped a fake package to another house within my city so that it shows delivered. I had to file a claim and won, so I knew that going in and my risk was $45z Seems like this seller may be baiting ppl for the same type of scam. But I may take the gamble and know the credit card company will have my back

Until you do it too often to be considered as a risk by your own bank.

Hello Negative People!!!
Here is a lesson. Buy from big companies like Overstock! If they fail to deliver, they will make it right to protect their brand. If not, proceed to the second step.
PAY with PayPal, You can file a dispute with them and they will fight for you! If this doesn't work, proceed to step 3
BLAST THEM on Social Media, with pictures, that will get their attention. If not proceed to step 4
Go pay the 50 bucks at your local courthouse for small claims. Often you can add time and activation into the mix, and they will pay it without question as it will mean they will have to hire a lawyer to fight it.

I have NEVER gone to step 4 because the three always works.
If they made a mistake, they will either HONOR it, and you WON, ORRRR, they will cancel your order.

I have made some SERIOUS DEALS on the methods above. Methods that any 8th grader could complete. I purchased 4 of them for resale. You people who are knocking this guy/Girl for posting what you think is a mistake or scam needs to have your account suspended until you reach an understanding that He/SHe was just trying to share a TIP on a deal!

Bravo Depg1, Thank you kind Sir/Mam

It's a third party seller on overstock, does overstock have some sort of protection for fraud?

Yes and No, They will take over and refund if their brand is at risk of being associated with the fraud. If you get NOWHERE with them, go to Paypal and instigate a dispute. They will take over from there.
If it is a fraud, It WILL take effort to get everything straight. That said, if you buying for resale like I am, then its a risk that I usually take.
Had one eBay seller straight-up selling fake merch, got my money back within 2 days.
I had another seller via Sears, that admitted the mistake on the price, but gave it to me at the price quoted, which was 75% off what the item was new.
I had one company (Personal Insurance Company) try to hardball my claim, I issued a small claims suit for 1.5 times what I was asking and they sent me a check.

If you are living from paycheck to paycheck, Don't take the risk
If you are BUSY BUSY with no time to spare to dispute anything, Don't take the risk.
My dealings with scammers usually end up being like a game of roulette, where you win if the ball lands on any number, and lose when the ball lands on 0 or 00.,
