Nice review on lowes, I am just quoting it here as I cannot link to that comment directly:

This is a great little impact driver. It will handle about anything a DYI'er can throw at it. Dewalt makes several versions of their impact drivers so you need to know which one your buying because each one has different inch pound ratings. This is the lower end brushless version so its not going to have the power of the XR version. It has a little more power than the brushed Dewalt but not much. I paid $89 for this with a 1.3ahr battery, charger, and bag, that alone is worth the price.

And its NOT an impact DRILL, it's an impact DRIVER.

The DeWalt impact drills let me use a round 1/2 shank, the drivers use a 1/4 shank hex bit.

Thumbs up for the deal, however...

When someone says "impact drill" they can be referring to either an impact driver or a hammer drill. In this case, it's the driver, but it's best to refer to the tool in the way that the manufacturer refers to it in order to avoid confusion.

I'm in need of a drill, Is this really that great of a drill for the price? I know the $300+ Dewalt drill gets exceptional reviews, but is this one just as good or would I be better off picking up the Hercules Hammer drill battery/charger set @ Harbor Freight for $75 (in store only?)

Also, for those of you with first hand use of Dewalt drills; should I buy the 2 yr warranty for $15 more or would it be worthless if their drills are that good?
