Love the Bosch 800 series, its the best dishwasher I've ever used. I have no idea how they do it without a heating element . .

I have been waiting for a Bosch 800 series deal for like a year, since my current dishwasher broke (still limping along... sort of). I figured I would have to get an open box to save this much and was OK with that, getting a new one is a bonus! I finally caught a deal before they sold out, and I needed the black one with bar handle which was only $609 after $50 rebate, although I had to pay $60 tax, and I opted for the $30 appliance removal to get rid of the old one. After everything it was $747, will be $697 after rebate. Also did the 12 month no interest deal because why not? Thanks for the post, repped!

They claim to be authorized Bosch dealer.

It says to email or call for better pricing, so I sent an email.

Is this discontinued? Lowe's [lowes.com] no longer carries it.

They introduced a new model with "Crystal Dry." The newer models use zeolite in conjunction with higher water temperatures to dry the dishes better. The drying was probably the only real complaint of the previous generation.

There is a heating element; it's built into the pump assembly [repairclinic.com].

If you need it installed, add $150 (plus $30 for haul away)

I am guessing unless you can pick it up or live nearby in NJ, you're not getting it. I noticed that their delivery option was "Local Delivery" - seems like I won't be getting a dishwasher if I order that from 500mi away.

I have all Bosch appliance in our kitchen (fridge, double oven, stove/vent, microwave, and DW). They all suck and have issues except for the dishwasher.

The vent is the worst, have to change the vent motor (remote blower) every two year @$500

Well there is a difference - is the primary reason to heat the water OR to dry the dishes. If the element is in the tub, then it could double as both but if it's buried in the assembly it just heats the water.
