So I wanted the "solar" aspect of this, BUT then I looked at the product pictures and they say:

"Do not charge in bright sunlight" & "will take a full week to recharge if using only solar"...

Say what?!

Solar of this size is basically a gimmick.
Zombie apocalypse utility only.

to be fair it actually says charge in strong sunlight

Solar Panel: 1W/250mA
this is best case. likely usually get way less than that.

promoted seller/SD sponsor, so take the post and popularity with bit of salt.
there's another RAVPower post for just their solar panel which generates at a much faster rate (much larger solar surface)

Yep. This is junk. If you really want to use solar better buy a panel that outputs to usb.

The solar panel is tiny and solar isn't efficient. It's useless

Maybe because of this weird design that it has to do this deal promotion... but if just used it like an ordinary power bank (no need for solar) it maybe ok. ;p

the output usb ports are 1A output and 2.1A output
$18.99 for this powerpack is way too high, the solar panel on any powerpack (including this one) is a joke and borderline useless

I do like that it is ipx4 but I have never had any of my powerpacks close enough to a water source for me to worry about it.
