A "deal" would be $159...this price isn't "new" nor a real SD Deal IMHO

I'm sorry you don't like it; but, with the 9.0 Ah LITHIUM+ Battery, and Charger, I feel that this this is a great deal. $128.00 (42%) off. The last deal was with a 4 Ah battery and a standard charger. This one has a 9 Ah battery and the upgraded Dual Chemistry charger.
FYI I, am Just trying to help people get a good deal. I'd like to see if the rest of the SlickDeals community thinks this is SD worthy; but, you are open to your opinion.

Love this sucker but not the price. Would recommend waiting for a deal on DTO for one of these although OP is right about the battery. Thanks for the share.

anybody else feel like ryobi slightly missed the mark here with a good candidate to make hybrid? i feel like this is one of those items which would be great if it could also run off of 110, like the fans, pumps, soldering station, etc etc. on the compact tools its a hindrance to add the weight and size, but these big tools that dont typically need to be compact? why not?

he kind of gave you his answer to that, albeit slightly harshly, lol.

imo its a deal if you really want the 9ah battery. that sucker isnt cheap. i, personally, feel that the 6ah/3ah batteries better choices as you can swap them on and off the charger, and they lend themselves to other smaller tools. ive lugged a 9ah batterry on a saw/drill... its not really ideal to say the least, lol. but hey, different strokes.

hey, genuine curious question... how do you have the "pro" tag under your username? does that denote you are a vendor, or moderator, or admin, or paid by slickdeals? just seems odd paired with the fact that you are only L2 beginner, with 29 posts.

I believe that it means, I posted 2 deals which were "Popular" or "Frontpage" deals; within a two week period. I had to look it up when I got the tag; because, I didn't know why I got it. But, that's going off what a fellow SD user posted. Hope this helps and thank you for your post. Smilie

Agree 100% I'd be all over this if it were one of the hybrid tools. The fans and light hybrids I have are great.

The 9amp battery combo is what makes this a "slick-ish" deal. If you don't want the big battery it's a meh deal.

For what it's worth, I'll give my opinion on this vacuum.

I've got this (6 gallon) and the 3 gallon Ryobi. For a portable, cordless unit, the 3 gallon is much more practical for my uses. I don't notice a huge difference in power between the 3 and 6 gallons.

However, I also have a 14 gallon corded Ridgid that I use when I need to run it for a long time and need the extra capacity.

I think it's because the other guy was using the 9ah + two 3ah batteries deal from a few months back as reference for a good price on the 9ah battery. If you do the cancel trick, the 9ah battery could be had for about $32 to $42 plus tax depending on zip code. I ended up paying $42 plus tax.

What is the cancel trick? I've never heard of that.

Definitely would jump on a hybrid version of this. I guess they need a new version to sell us next year though, can't give us all the bells and whistles at the same time.

its the ryobi way! first thing i thought when i bought my drill driver... what, no lights? then the second version had lights... albeit lights that dont stay on, only when you pull the trigger. but wait, no belt loop! now the brushless have belt loops.

Does the cancel trick work on this deal?

I bought this shop vac from DTO for $52 and so far so good. Cordless is really nice, and it doesn't eat batteries as fast as you might think, although it definitely will go through them relatively fast.
