Will a single Google Wifi Router out perform a Netgear R6400v2?

Locally I can get a new Google Wifi single unit for $59.00. Would that outperform my Netgear R6400v2? I have 100/100 fiber in the home. All streaming devices for tv, ipads, iphones, macbooks, etc.

First off, you can pick up an R7800 Netgear for like 60-70 dollars used on EBay.

As to the google router, who knows, but it will have the added benefit of likely sending all your data to google HQ so they can sell it to anyone and everyone to market stuff to you imo lol.
And it is AC1200, so why bother anyway unless you have some serious coverage issues (which likely could be solved with an access point\extender instead).

The R7800 is AC 2600 vs. AC 1750 for your 6400 vs. the slower AC1200 rating on the google device. I would not bother. If you want to go to the trouble of improving your router, look to upgrade to something that is faster imo.

No it's not likely to do better.

IMHO, the most cost effective change you could make would be hard wiring devices you can like the TVs with ethernet.

We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Why do conservative politicians oppose conservation?
