Chase Sapphire Reserve Ultimate Reward has a deal where you can redeem points for Apple products with 20% bonus value. A useful deal if you have a lot of points saved up.

Example:
an iPhone SE 64GB costs $399, but it cost 33,249 points if you redeem it.

Note:
Effective until 6/18/20. Chase Freedom card only has a 5% bonus.

I guess this is a good deal if you had no travel plans for the points. They're worth 50% more when used on travel (hotel, flights, car rentals, etc). I realize 20% discount on Apple is good, but 50% bonus on travel is better.

Redeeming for gift cards/products is the worst value you can get in any points system.

I believe the 20% only applies to the Sapphire Reserve card (btw has a $400-500 annual fee)

Yeah? I've go about 50,000 points spread across three credit cards right now. We don't travel much, so I usually cash them out on gift cards (when they have promo discounts) and purchase big ticket items.

I think that last time I cashed out, I used either 15% or 20% off Best Buy gift cards to get $700 to pay for a Mavic Air drone.
