Lower than previous price of $449. Possibly the last of the inventory of these since the new model is out. You can also earn 5% in bonus eBay bucks if you're eligible, but obviously YMMV and only about 3 hours left on the bonus bucks. Free shipping included.

It's from world wide stereo. They are a huge audio store. I've purchased numerous items from them including svs subs, svs speakers, and my Sonos ones, amongst other things. I've had nothing but great experiences with them, have called and spoken on the phone with them as well. Very accommodating.

No I do not work for them, no I'm not getting paid in anyway by this thread. Just sharing my experience as you seem to think less of this being from eBay.
The sub is great, but it's irrelevant to the playbar. Sure, it helps to have it and it's a nice addition to add to the bass, but it's not a necessity, unless you're specifically looking to add extra bass.

I find people often bash Sonos products as if it sucks because it may not be audiophile quality. I have playbar, 2 ones, and a sub, as well as 2 play 5s in other rooms, and soon to be installed sonance mariner 86s connected to the Sonos amp. I have no complaints on anything, as the purpose of these speakers is for great sound while also being wireless.

I also have a 7.2.4 svs setup in my movie room with a Marantz 7012 and 3 monoblock outlaw amps, and another 10k worth of headphones/DACs/amps. Each speaker serves its own purpose. Sonos is functionality, wireless capability, and good sound for what it is. I wouldn't be able to run wired speakers in my living room. These fit the bill and sound great.
Absolutely! Sounds waaaayyyyy better. Don't buy the Beam just because it has Alexa... If you have the PlayBar hooked up to you Amazon Fire Tv, there's your Alexa... Apple TV... there's your Siri. And... you can AirPlay to the Playbar from either Apple TV or Amazon TV (with an app).

I agree. I already own a playbar but purchased this for my mother. I can't comment on the "newness" of these refurbs, but reading through other threads on slickdeals, people seem to rate them highly.

Hmm tempting. this price keeps dropping but no one really reports back on the good or bad of it.

Granted, they'd probably only report back if it came all beat up as opposed to it being fine. The last one someone was guessing these could be "new" but sold as refurb to clear old inventory. I'd love for someone from the past threads to chime in.

Was thinking of a beam for the basement and rig up a non sonos sub via ikea hack. But at this price, I may spring for the refurb. I already have a playbar with sonos sub and we love it

FACTORY certified is key here. Not to mention it carries a 1 year warranty

I'll add that the verbiage on the Ebay page matches that of the Sonos web site. Not that that is worth anything, but it seems to be pointing to legit.

I'm curious though, has Sonos factory refurbs been sold by anyone other than Sonos before? I know the deal a few weeks back was same place but for $449

Also, fwiw here's the item on their proper webpage:
https://www.worldwidestereo.com/p...bar1us2blk

I'm thinking I'm going to bite. Buy now, ask for wife forgiveness later

All one really needs to do with eBay purchases is look at a sellers feedback. I think they have around 44k. No one is getting that many feedbacks selling audio equipment on eBay, while selling from their own store, and who knows how many other mediums, without being legit.

Also, your wife probably will thank you. Just spin it as, "hey honey, less wires. I did this for you."

Playbar + sub in family room. Beam in our room. Told her I was going to swap out the old soundbar in basement for a beam, she was on board with the eco system (and we already have an echo on the wall downstairs). We got the beam on prime day, but @ regular price for the beam, this costs the same. Just not sure she was expecting me to buy one a day after it passed the approval board laugh out loud

Now to get a symfonisk and hack that baby up to feed my sub.

Aside from the normal privacy stuff, we prefer plain old echos since the beam is still somewhat limited (cant make calls/dropins, cant change wake word, etc)

When someone has thousands of refurbished products available, they are just trying to get rid of the inventory without having to price match. New sound-bar is already out, but at this price this makes a great sound-bar and works with the new Sonos platform (not like the ones being discontinued support)

I have the Beam and it's awesome, HDMI makes it simpler but the sound quality on this one is much better

I thought about the Ikea hack but If i get it from the surround speakers not all the audio is going there, have you tried it?

Great deal. I have one, love the sound. Especially voices come out nice and clear when watching TV. As for music, it sounds as good as my Play 5.

However, don't buy if you love Sonos' new stuff with virtual assistants and/or if you insist on THX certified sound.

Also, concerns remain over Sonos. My Play 5 is now called 'legacy', and I think the bar might suffer the same fate. However, it doesn't bother me because I only watch TV or listen to music on my local music library on my NAS.

On refurb: The Achilles heel of the bar is the optical connector. When buying used from ebay, this is a bit of a risk. For a factory refurb, you don't have to worry about it. And overall, the device is solid.
