It has been widely reported:

This is a pretty substantial change relative to the AW 1 through 5, that will allow a more dense circuity. It doesn't mean the exterior case will look different, but it might positively impact battery life due to lower construction densities (thus allowing a physically larger battery in the same shell).
I thought you had meant a exterior redesign as there hasn't been rumors about that.

White Nike GPS is out Frown. Got the black one though.
Now the black one is sold and the white is still available, but I wanted the darker color lol.

Personally I prefer to buy from Costco, better warranty and return than many other places.
I love Costco B&M. However, interestingly enough, I actually had a negative experience with Costco Online. I ordered from Costco online last month or so when it went on sale. Later I changed my mind (due to various personal reasons) and called for cancellation. They were processing the order and the order was not yet shipped. I figured this would be a very easy cancellation. Call in. They click something. And it's cancelled.

I found the hard way that wasn't the case. CSR assured me that the order would be cancelled in 24 hours. Naturally I didn't believe her so I asked her to transfer me to a manager who could explain why I would have to wait 24 hours for a simple cancellation of an order that wasn't shipped. She transferred me to some static noise and I had to hang up.

Sure enough, as I had suspected, my order never did get cancelled and I got the watch 2.5-3 weeks later!

Luckily, Costco B&M is great and I was able to return it there (but honestly during these times, it would've been nice to avoid that wait and line).

TL;DR - Costco online customer service sucks. Tired to cancel an unshipped order once. CSR assured it would be cancelled but she lied.

Is an Apple Watch a big upgrade over Fitbit? I only want it for Cellular (running) and currently love Fitbit's battery life

- Costco is back-ordered in two of the three colors.
- Costco charge $5 for shipping, nobody else does.

So Costco is more expensive and slower, but otherwise the same.
If you have a Costco near by, you don't pay for or wait for shipping.

The real question is, will these be at the same price or possibly cheaper on Black Friday?

I don't know how Apple prices usually be during Black Friday. If apple watches or apple products don't drop by much during Black Fridays, I might bite now.

Also, I've always thought series 5 Nike were extremely limited and sold out. If they are limited, would my only chance of getting them with a discount, be now then? Does Apple discontinue the previous series as soon as they announce a new one?

If anyone can help me out that'd be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for a series 5 gps+cellular, preferably Nike.

Also considering just waiting on series 6. Don't they usually cost $600?

Apple is all about planned obsolescence, there's no "best time to buy"
that is fairly true. it is their major part of marketing and pricing strategy.

Snagged one from AAFES after getting them to price match the sold out 40mm space gray Nike version. Which was surprising because they've never price match anything that's sold out. Got it for $299 flat since it's tax free.

I didn't know what are the differences between so called Nike and regular version. But after reading couple websites there is no hardware difference and Nike apps can be downloaded easily. (One small Nike logo hidden in back) and many after market bands to choose on amazon. It's a marketing hype.

Over all 4 years warranty from Costco seem to me more valuable than one very small hidden Nike logo on the back of the watch. Again it's a personal preference
