I put a tread (probably counterfeit) on my gear S3. Still cheaper than this.

Note that the watch has a sapphire crystal, a desirable feature which adds to the value equation. Item description says "Swiss Movement", likely a workhorse Ronda quartz module.

The Tread bracelet alone goes for $135 on the Leatherman website (https://www.leatherman.com/tread-831999.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw8J32BRBCEiwApQEKgXg68UaV22NHKD5VAgl0apkCm... [leatherman.com]).

But you need to spend another $40 or so for an adapter to convert it to a watch band (https://besttechtool.com/product/...ess-steel/)

If this sort of thing interests you, this gets you an out of the box solution for $77 more than those two components. It's your call whether you think that watch head is worth $77. With the sapphire crystal I'd say it is.

ETA: I should add that those Bestech watch adapters add to the length of the bracelet without providing any tool functionality. The Tempo watch head looks like it was purpose built with longer integral lugs to allow the Tread to connect directly. It's a more elegant solution and probably preserves one or two tools when you size the bracelet for your wrist.

Yeah, but look at how long the lugs are on the watch, to accommodate the screwdrivers on the last links.
