meh deal...the 2 pack (non-IQ) is currently $230 everywhere, so you're paying close to $300 for the IQ. not that great...

Having installed both, note there is a significant difference between the two.

Regular outdoor has a power puck with a 15 foot cable. Then a regular USB cable attached to the camera of 10 feet. Know that if you are installing 25 feet away from your outlet, that you will have 15 feet of a power cable and 10 feet of USB cable. In between will be the adapter.

Nest iq outdoor just has a 25' USB C cable. Much easier to install especially when running the cable through walls as the plugs are small.

Depending on your install, the extra headache of the regular outdoor may not be worth your time and you may be better served installing an iq outdoor

Thanks for this info! Is there a big difference with regard to picture quality and clarity?

The biggest difference is when zooming in.

Thats because IQ has a 4k sensor but is compressed down, whereas the standard outdoor is 1080. I went with IQ because whenever outdoor security cameras are pulled into use in a situation the importance comes down to resolution i.e. ability to read the license plate, make out their face etc.

But I dont think this is a slick deal because of the aforementioned reason on price.

If you need webcams, go wyze. No required fee, just as good on picture, better app, and only $25.

Don't buy nest or ring, complete rip off
