You may find the Samsung ones cheaper than iPhone in general. Really depends on your budget and preference. Looks like you are open to both Android and iOS.
I would argue that both are high-end smart phone brands with little price difference between them. Both brands have phones that cover the low, mid, and high-end spectrum. My S20 Ultra 5G has an MSRP of $1,399 or something ridiculous.

I think the camera upgrade in the 11 is so significant, if you can afford paying extra or wait, get the 11.
11 not the pro though?

11 was too big for me. I ended up selling my 11 and going with the xs for that reason alone. XS camera is great, battery life is good, and best of all it fits in my hand.

I was just browsing used phones on sprint. This model was $499 pre owned, iPhone 8 was $240 I think
I believe you have to choose a plan from Sprint, right? but this is unlocked.

My cousin has the 11 Pro. I have not seen real life pics from the 11. I'd figure it's very similar except for missing 1 lens.

5G won't be everywhere with sufficient speeds for a long time.

A $1400 phone, that's insane. What do you use your phone for mostly.

Nothing to justify a $1400 price tag.

waiting will ALWAYS get you a better deal. The question is, do you need a new phone now? Only you can answer that. With the economy the way it is, I do believe used/older devices will go on sale eventually.
UNLESS it's a limited item (e.g., fancy artwork, certain shoes, various memoribilia). nod
