From what I understand these are normal wired headphones but they come with a cable that has bt transmitter built in. Could be completely wrong though

I'm sorry people are spending $200 on Bluetooth earbuds? Any site measured these compared to $30 wired headphones? Or would that still not be fair. Probably use them to listen to 128kbps Mp3s.

Does anyone use these to workout or do cardio? I'd love a nice sounding earphone for bike rides
I have the W30 with bluetooth cable and I used them at the gym extensively. Love the comfort, sound, and seal of the Westone lineup better than any IEM out there. I've tried Shure, Sennhieser, Sony, Klipsch, and Ultimate Ears.

The only downside is they are an expensive pair to carry around at the gym. I thought I lost them a couple of times, so I got paranoid and got a cheaper pair (Westone Wx - $99.99). It's a step down in quality, but still way better than other IEMS.

At $200-$219 with the bluetooth cable, the B30 and W40 are great deals. I probably wouldn't drop $299 on a pair of headphones for the gym.

Lol you clicked on the wrong post mate. Also you shouldn't be using slickdeals cuz it seems like you're a bit mislead. these are for actual music listeners lol

Did you just say "actual music listeners" in a post about Bluetooth? Bluetooth compression makes for shit quality mate, no matter how much you spend on it or what celebrity you see endorsing it.
Ummm do u not see the world transforming from wired to wireless?? Everyone hates wires even though itll sound better, some headphones wirelessly are pretty close to some wired headphones. And yes these are for actual music listeners, those who take music seriously and dont just plug in any kind of headphone when they are stoned.

Um.... Have you heard something called AAC passthru or AptX codec? Yes, they are still compressed, but much better than what you are describing. But based on your perception about bluetooth, I guess the devices you own may not support them anyway. I feel sorry for you.

Also, this post is not about bluetooth earbuds to begin with. This post is about Westone monitoring earset with both wired and bluetooth option. V1 cable included is not the best bluetooth cable for MMCX, and people are not paying $ 200 for that anyway. W40 for instance is well worth $ 219 as a wired earset even if you don't use it with included bluetooth cable. It competes with $ 349 Shure SE535.

all you audiophiles drank the koolaid and bought the snake oil decades ago

unless your a professional with cat like hearing, which you aren't(and you also have a minor case of tinnitus), none of this stuff will make any difference.

The best headphones rn IMO are ANC headphones. Most benefit with technology that cannot be argued against. No, the sound isn't as good as a dedicated pair of headphones in complete silence, but getting rid of the ambient noise immediately makes them better in almost all real life applications/commuting.

Just curious... Why do you care so much about how other people choose to spend their money? It's not hurting you, so why all the hostility? Snake oil, placebo, kool-aid, or whatever else you want to call it, I like what I like, and enjoy discussing it with other like-minded people.

It's also purchasing something that has some modularity for long-term use in mind. Cable breaks? You can just buy another cable instead of replacing the whole thing.

My only wish is that they made a bluetooth cable with a better microphone and/or evolved the design to support ANC somehow.

Maybe you should have told that to the person who came to this post to make fun of people buying bluetooth headset, assuming it's only as good as $ 30 wired headset. Then we wouldn't have seen his post blaming this kool-aid kid.

And yet again, this post is not about bluetooth only headset.
