Is there a lot of overlap between what a cut off saw does and a multi tool? How would you choose if you were only going to buy one of the two?
Two totally different applications and both used for different materials and situations

Are generic blades available for this tool?
Uses the same blades as the dermal 3 inch cut off saw uses.

I have one in stock 30 min away. It will let me order for pickup for 130. Just don't know if I need this. I am as of now collecting tools for starting woodworking/diy for my first house purchase for next year. Also just starting Milwaukee M18 and M12 tool lineup. Can anybody help me decide if I need to spend money on this because this is too good of a deal? Also I am trying to save some money for father's day deal on miter saw which probs is more important if you are planning to start woodworking right?

This m12 tool, the m18 orbital sander, the m18 blower, and m18 oscillating tool just dont buy. Weak links in their lineups.

I don't even bother with Northern Tool anymore. Not worth the hassle in my opinion. 50/50 chance the transaction will go as expected. Good deal, lousy company.

I tried again and looks like the coupon is still. Working. Maybe try incognito or something.

I have had zero problems with them. However, I haven't tried to order back-ordered items or stack coupons on top of other promotions that are prohibited by the fine print. So I guess it's YMMV.

Most of the stores that I noticed showed stock on these yesterday are now out, but there are still a few here and there that you should be able to get for in-store pick up.

What do you prefer? (not trolling, actually curious)
Everyone has their favorite brands for various reasons. I recommend spending a little more to buy 18 volt tools so you have extra tork and power. 12 volt tools tend to bog down under stress. Makita even has some tools that use two 18 volt batteries which gives you 36 volts of power. To each their own.

Obviously you never used ones. These are awesome little tools. But what is the newer 12 volt level technology since you say this is old and weak? Obviously this is not going to replace your 18 volt grinder but it has many uses and gets in places were most bigger tools can't. Plus the forward and reverse is awesome when you are in off spots. But since you think you know everything every though you never have used this tool what is the newest and greatest that you think would replace this???
You make a lot of assumptions, lol. Spend a few extra bucks and get an 18volt cut off tool. 12 volts will leave you desiring more power especially for this application.

The blower is underpowered. The blade change on the oscillating is not up to the standards of brands.
