Saw monoprice has the spark on sale for 79 today. That's your best bang for buck. Amp only though.

These or the Bluetooth Monoprice ones that were posted earlier?
There are a few differences, but if you're not totally into headphones, just go with the less expensive option. The Monoprice headphones are usually pretty decent (I have a few different ones, and like them all.)

Focal is in a completely different league. They're great headphones, but you'll pay a ton more.

Thanks bud. You hold me and saved my perks for now. I really want to buy a good Audiophile headphones and a suitable amp. I tried Bose, Sony but still not happy. Fidelio is much better but it's not smooth.
I too have the X2HR, which I use nightly for music and TV/movies. They're detailed, therefore sometimes a little bright. Is that what you meant by them being "not smooth"?

Just gonna be a dick and say throw another 50 and get a Sundara.

Or save and get a HD6xx or Fidelio X2

Edit: If I recall, someone mentioned in a previous Elegia deal that Adorama isn't a Focal-authorized vendor so warranty is a wash - is that still true?
The reviews on Sundaras show issues with the dead drivers on Amazon and and on forums. Additionally, if you need warranty service, the headphones will go on a oddyssey back to China. Might be wise to put a disclaimer.

Also note that the new version of the x2 is out soon!
Couldn't find any info? Any links to specs?

I still have X2 and I do respect them at their price range. Currently I also have Audeze LCD - 2 and I love them. You can get them for around 1/2 the price during Thanksgiving time. These are made in america too (if you care).

This is a decent price on a very well rounded pair. Can anybody recommend a Sub $300 pair of usable open back's?

I find it super duper expensive though..I will add it to my cart for Thanksgiving. Appreciate. Thanks bud. X2s are super cool for the price.

Seems like not much love for these headphones. Anyone actually own these or have spent a decent amount of time with them? Any thoughts?

Looking for some closed backs. Something less than 500 price range?

This a decent amount over $300, but I ended up pouncing on these:

Hope it's worth the investment!

I have both the HD6XX's and Sundara and the Sundara blow the HD6XX's out of the water for me. For music 6XX' aren't terrible, but for games they're awful, imaging is nearly non existent I think they might be defective, but music sounds Ok. Sundara's are amazing all around though.

Why would you say that? Elegia is in the same level with elear which is supposed to be a level up than hd700. Also sundara is open planar. So not sure how do you make a comparison.

Considering I replied to a post requesting "sub 300 open backs" I think there's a reason why I would say that.
