How does this compare to the version found in the refrigeration section?

It's the same thing, just half the size. Can keep it in the pantry for a while, just throw it in the fridge after you open it

This is more expensive than Walmart sells for the refrigerated almond milk. I guess it's worth it if you need to stock up a bunch for some reason and store it in your pantry. If not then this isn't a deal

99 cent store sells this stuff for 99 cents per 32 ounces. Not really a good deal unless you don't have a 99cent store around you

Just make your own almond milk: soak 1 cup of almonds in water overnight, blend with 5 cups additional water, strain, done

It's literally that easy, and much cheaper.

Thanks, do you add any sweetener / any other ingredient? Do you use the almond pulp for anything?

You can add vanilla extract if you want or add sugar if you want. Optional of course. No other ingredients needed.

I save the almond pulp for my oatmeal so nothing goes to waste

After straining the almond pulp, I like to blend it again with 2-3 dates (pits removed of course) and 1 tsp vanilla extract. If I don't have dates lying around, I'll use some maple syrup or honey. For the almond pulp, we usually try to make baked goods or baking off the liquid at a low heat (around 275-300) and using it like almond flour.

It's in the refrigerated section just to be among the milk and for you to buy as part of the basic (milk and eggs) grocery list
