Per reviews, this is actually a TN panel, not IPS.

Either that or they're just using whatever they have available at the time and figure most customers won't be educated enough to know/ care about the difference.

It's ips as per specs on staples

Don't know if its TN or IPS, but the pic is really bad.
Mine from amazon got snow like burly all the screen. Already returned it.

The specs are false advertising. Read the reviews on Amazon.

It seems like at best people are getting IPS and TN panels interchangeably on this model, depending on what ViewSonic had available / needed to use up.

Did you run the Windows color calibration utility? My BenQ looked horrible till I ran the Windows utility. Just had to adjust gamma that made my tn panel look blurry. It's on DP cable so I have to run the utility if I turn off the monitor when Windows is on because it thinks it was disconnected.

From the viewing angels, it's not TN. That sounds like a defective unit.

I almost bought this until I saw page 26 of the user manual.

Look at the resolution section of the attachment. That stinks! No native 75 Hz at full resolution.

IPS and 14 ms response time per viewsonic. This is a handy list that makes it easy to compare many of their monitors.
