Hello SD,

I was looking for a new washer this holiday weekend and found the WM3900HWA for $798 at Home Depot. I added it to cart it and seems to have added a 5% promo code automatically bringing the price to $758. I've checked and it works for other LG models too.

I noticed there is a current promo for 5% off if you bundle with another item but I seemed to have gotten the 5% with just the washer so YMMV.

Also if you're in TX, there is currently no sales tax on energy star appliances.

Can this washer use enough water to wash clean under an hour or even under 30 min? Any other washer that can do it? Is there normal and none high efficiency washer that uses normal amount of water, but wash good? With HE we pay for 2 hours electricity ...

The normal mode by default is about a 30 minute wash.

Some of the other modes can take upwards of an hour, but sometimes you can turn on the Turbo Wash to speed it up to 30 minutes or so. The manual details which modes work with Turbo Wash.

I haven't really had a problem with the Turbo Wash mode, so I use it as often as it lets me.

Anyone have any experience with LG washer quality? How long will this last before it breaks?

This model is well reviewed and seems easy to service. I hope it's reliable as I just replaced our 25 year-old top-loader with this. Got mine on recent Bestbuy's F&F 50% off open-box appliance for $340. Normal load with Turbo Wash takes about 30 minutes. Full load on Heavy Duty can take around an hour. Runs quiet and looks well-built. Really liking it so far.
