I know that this is about retail but you can not find them in stock. At least not from a dealer you can trust. I pastor a church and have been looking for weeks. With businesses opening up and people getting out more, I just wanted to give a heads up. Sorry if I did not do this correct.

The 32 oz size will ship in about 10 days, the 8 oz ships now. Limit 2 each
Shipping is high on these, but I just added a couple of the coffees to get free shipping. They have a special on it - you can find it on another thread.

Germ-X Original Hand Sanitizer, 8 Oz $4.26 (reg. $4.49)

Yet Target shipped my dozen orders for FREE.

The bottles with flip tops will expand in the heat from the alcohol. Never had a problem with pump bottles.
I'd be curious how Target did the shipping. They may have gotten permission from USPS to ship via normal methods or they may be able to get better shipping discounts than than O.D. But nothing is ever free.

The post office is losing money in part because big online retailers are pressuring them with big contracts to ship for pennies what would regularly cost much more.

I have ordered sanitizer from Office Depot in the past and it came by a subcontracted freight truck. My understanding is they have a different logistics system for a lot of their online orders.

Anyway sanitizer is so hard to come by these days I think most people are grateful that it's available at all, even if it costs more.

I have mailed sanitizer to people in several states and there is a reason shipping is higher. It is considered a hazardous material and cannot be shipped by the usual shipping methods. It has to go by ground only which ends up being more expensive plus it takes longer.

$11.95 for anywhere in the country is pretty reasonable. I've paid close to $20 for relatively small amounts of sanitizer to be shipped.
I will say I am in COVID central in NY and sanitizer is ALL over the place just not in bix box stores. Their logistics cannot seem to handle this or people just go crazy on buying it out. You only need hand sanitizer very infrequently soap does a much better job.

With that said the reason why Amazon can ship sanitizer because they use their own logistics, a normal company like this has to ship hazardous but now can ship common carrier and must ship ground and they charge much more even though the government put in an exemption during this time. I think companies are simply screwing folks over.

Go look at your local bodega or pharmacy, they have this stuff and the pricing is not all that bad. I just went by today and they had 96 oz for $14, 70% and gel which is like multi-year supply. I carry a 2 oz, that thing has lasted months. Are people taking a shower in this stuff?

You just have to look around and get out, I'd rather support local businesses.

Case in point, the Mrs was at Walmart yesterday (for some reason) and they wanted $4.99 a pound for THIGHS. Cmon. Went to the local bodega, $1.79.

Shipping is too high... Is there any way to get free shipping? Any other recommended items to meet the shipping requirement?

Hey I got some at my local Walgreens today too. They had the dispenser medium size ones. I was shocked. They are limiting them. In the hand sanitizer isle.

Guys, can ne1 comment on the fire harzard of leaving sanitizer in a very hot car? Is it really happening? Or a hoax? If real, at what temperature will it catch fire?
The alcohol evaporates at roughly 175 degrees. In order to burn, it'd need to get hotter than that. That situation typically happens when it's left in the sun and some kind of reflective surface focuses the sunlight onto a small spot, igniting the alcohol.

Long story short, leave the sanitizer out of the sun. Prevents fires and keeps it from evaporating

I don't understand how it can cost $12 for shipping.
Spoiled by the logistics of free 2 day shipping?

True cost to ship something isn't cheap. It's just being covered by the hope of larger purchase orders.

I bought a 67 ounce bottle at Costco for $8, it comes in and out of their inventory. This was back in April. It smells a lot like Bath and Body Works cucumber melon. Not my favorite scent but it smells better than Purell and feels better on my hands. There is no need for me to keep the entire bottle in the car. I use my travel bottles to put some in. Toss in purse and you have no issues losing effectiveness because of heat.

Have not bought anything at Office Depot or Staples since February. Seems like their survival depends on gouging. To the SD member with the C-19 and pregnant wife, I hope your situation improves. Be strong and don't give up. I am like you where I take all the precautions, cloth mask, 3 layer medical mask under neath, and sunglasses.

I get in and get out. I usually have to burn a Clorox wipe when I shop at Costco and I don't trust them wiping down the carts for me with the same rag on multiple carts. I tried using one nitrite glove on Saturday and it's hard shopping with one hand but I was trying to save a Clorox wipe. For some stores that allow me, I use my own grocery bag to gather my items and buy only what I can carry. Whether it's a wipe or glove, I flip inside out and put on the floor of my car. Never re-using, then some germ-X. I get home, unload the groceries and jump in shower, change clothes.

Almost pulled the trigger earlier on for the coffee, came back to SD and saw this glad I could bundle together! Tired of looking around for hand sanitizer (score some at costco but landed up returning cause it smelt like vodka and orange juice). Thanks OP.

Amazon had a 4 pack of the 32oz for $18 the other day. This seems pricey
I got 2 the other day. Between that and the 4 60oz Walmart bottles I'll be ready for round 2 this fall.
