Nice find! My GCU ends tomorrow, so this worked out fortuitously. Snagged WarioWare and Sushi Striker for Switch to get free shipping and only $38.14. Great deal.

I think the DS family is going to stick around for a long time -- the Switch (even the Lite) are just too big a leap for many people. More expensive, heavier, less portable, and much more fragile.

My kids are 9 and 7 and the 2DS is perfect for both of them. My son might get a Switch soon, but it will probably spend most of its time on the dock at home.

We found Detective Pikachu at Target for $9.99 about a year ago. Then the movie came out and the price shot way up. Thanks, Ryan Reynolds!

Anything to dislike about this particular game? I'm trying to see if I should get this one or not

Note that if your local Target still has Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker you could request to have it price-matched against their online price on Target.com which is $17.99. Has worked for me before. Here's the Brickseek page to check local stock:
https://brickseek.com/target-inve...07-02-0010

That said, from what I recall the Switch version got some extra levels in an update that the 3DS version never got so that may be a factor worth consideration.

Yea but this is good for people who may not have an already established library or a time machine. Sales on physical 3DS games are few these days.

It's not. The last new game in stores was around this time a year ago (Persona Q2) and the console itself has all but disappeared at retail. Nintendo is all in on the Switch Lite as the successor at this point.

There still seem to be a ton of 2DS consoles in big retailers' inventory, and plenty of games (both new and used) floating around.

It may be a dead platform for new content, but getting through all the worthwhile games released in its ~7 year run will take a long time.
