"At this price..."
(proceeds to show a tool that is almost double the cost)

Not knocking your preference, but $20+ is not equal to $42+
You couldnt be more wrong. I am an electrician and used my klein 9" sidecutters for 30 years cutting everything from wire and hardened nails and screws to steel cable. The cutting jaws are hardened steel. I wish you Knipex fan boys would at least know what you are talking about before you post your ridiculous rants. Knipex is a good tool but so is Klein.
The one he's referring to is further down in the post ("Knipex 8" High Leverage Combination Pliers – $21.90") but no longer available. So yeah, not especially helpful at this juncture.

They must have a lot of these at woot. They sell them every couple of weeks and it always ends up here.

That being said, they're good pliers. Klein and Knipex are my hand tools of choice.

don't bother, all these will cut are soft metals like copper and aluminum.

and even a good pair of poultry shears can do that.

at this price you can get MUCH better quality Knipex even not on sale.

"All these will cut are soft metals like copper and aluminum...and even a good pair of poultry shears can do that." This is utter nonsense. Used these exact linesman's pliers to effortlessly cut through 12/2 this past weekend, jacket, insulation and all wires. Post a video of yourself doing that with poultry shears. Cuts as expected through steel wire as well.

+1, as others have already pointed out, the tool you suggest is twice the price.

This this TC. These are good USA made pliers that will last a long time. I don't think I wear them out, I lose them, or someone "borrows" them.

Those particular ones have been going in and out of stock for the past few weeks, as they sit waffling in my cart. Just something to consider.

On the Knipex threads, I hear that Kline is better.

It seems like they both make great tools, at relatively similar prices (at least in this case). *shrug*

That happened to me a while ago. I don't remember what I did, but the fix was pretty easy to find on Google.

Ah I noticed that afterwards but my break ended so I didn't have time to edit my post. I did see that they're out of stock though
