The monitor posted on post is for gaming. Higher refresh rate than the Dell monitor, but if you are going to use it other than Gaming. Dell monitor is a great monitor. You'll never go wrong with dell.

The dell I am replacing has lasted for a good 10 years.

Can I hook up PS4 to this monitor? Is it worth it? Would there be an improvement?

Over your TV? Yes, it will improve your input lag. If you play FPS games, it will be a noticeable improvement

The PS4 Pro can't push more than 60hz refresh rate, which may or may not be an upgrade based on the refresh rate of your TV. But either way, 144hz is overkill if you're just using it for your PS4. If you have a PC with a good enough graphics card (or plan to upgrade to one), it could be worth it. It just depends. : shrug:

Although, you might want to research this specific model first, as some users have reported stuttering issues on the PS4 when using displays with significantly higher refresh rates than the PS4 can handle. I have a PS4 as well, and I'm guessing is this is caused by the console not playing nice with some display manufacturer firmwares, resulting in the PS4 being unable to override the display's native refresh rate within the console's operating system (a trivial issue on a PC).
