I've had a set of Hankook Evo 2's on my Mazda3. They handle well, great in the rain, and are pretty quiet. I would definitely buy another set.

Thanks for the heads up! I was able to get a set of Nitto Motivos for $418 before the $80 mail in rebate. Tire size 245/45/18. The usual price is $612 for the set of 4. When I added them to the cart it took another discount of $144 off + $50 instant savings. They also have the $80 rebate!

Seems like a good deal for Goodyear weatherready tires. $100 off + $50 manufacturer rebate.

You should try the Michelin pss or p4s tire. Back to back the hankooks can't hold up to them.

I was just doing an early summer cleanup and ran into a set of very old Hankook tires (Optimo H426 to be specific) that had about 20k of mostly highway driving on them (leased car, was alternating with a winter set). OMG, what a garbage they are, I had to replace them before the end lease, because they had no usabe tread whatsoever. I've never seen anything like this even on cheap Douglas tires from Walmart.

That was a good reminder for me to stay clear of Hankook (at least Optimo series) - unless you want to replace them in less than 2 years.

Maybe that was some cheap specific model, but darn, they look scary.

Those aren't $246/set though. This tire is very good for the price.

Take into account the treadwear warranty and the cost is less of a factor. With tires, you do get what you pay for.

I ran Evo 2's as well on my GTI and wouldn't use them again.

I had a set of 727's that performed well for many years and lasted ~80k miles. Yes, they were loud and squirrely in the rain toward the end. IMHO a great value for a touring tire, I would definitely buy them again.

The reviews of the Hankook V12 Evo2 K120 tire, it says two total reviews. One person gave it a 4, one person gave it a 5, and somehow in Discount Tire math that comes to 4.7/5.

Maybe they meant handle speed bumps well. The hankook rs3 were a good tire but the evo are the worst tire I have ever used that cost more than $50

At 2x the price though. Yeah everyone that wants a performance tire wants ps4s but will we all truly require the grip they are capable of? Unless you're at a track, probably not.
