Been on autopay for months. Just caught an issue where, even though it should have paid the full amount, there was still a $9 balance after the last payment. Their automated system considered it past due, and tried to attach a late fee going into June.

They have also changed the payment requirements as needing a debit card or checking account for auto pay . A credit card used for payment will result in a higher bill. At least for me it did.

I have never been able to use a credit card for most autopay scenarios without either incurring a fee or being ineligible for the autopay discount as in this case. Surprised you were even able to use a credit card.

Scratching my head here. Still using my Chase Ink credit card after years of doing it for autopay (postpaid account) with no surcharges. Maybe it is plan specific? I am on "The new Verizon Plan Large 8 GB", not the "Unlimited Everything Plan."
