FWIW, Bone Tomahawk was part of a group of Blurays that were frequently $5 (or part of a $10 B1G1F) a few years ago at BB. I got mine for $5 4 years ago. This is a good movie at a good price.

If it's really $15-$25 everywhere else that just shows you how rare Bluray sales are these days compared to several years ago. It's part of the new low-production/higher cost business model adopted by most studios/retailers due to all the digital streaming. If Amazon has it for $5, I'd guess somebody else has it for $5 too whom they're PMing, but I'm not going to check.

It's a brutal, brutal movie made almost more for horror fans than westerns. Kurt Russell is very good in this movie.

I checked Best Buy, Walmart, and Target. It may be someone else. Not sure who.

Brutal is the word I was going to use - has one of the most brutal scenes I've ever seen. Worth a view.

Those are the 3 I'd normally check, so perhaps Amazon is doing it on its own. The $5 price was common many years ago. It's just surprising when Amazon has something on sale and nobody else does. I'm a Kurt Russell fan so I consider this an essential movie to own.

I guess this deal gives latecomers to Bluray collecting a chance to get something they missed. Seeing the higher prices on physical media in general over the last couple years (plus noticing some movies remaining perpetually OOS at some online retailes) makes me happy I grabbed as many $5 Blurays as I could back in the good old days. If you sort Blurays by price on BB.com it seems nearly half of the cheapest titles are OOS. I think the big retailers aren't going to bother much about getting cheap movies in stock with low profit margins.

It is a bit unfortunate and I i'm not sure people realize that streaming is a lot less lower quality than discs even if told not sure they care as long as it looks "good enough" to them. It is run-of-the-mill here on SD where people say this is on "X" service. Now for movies I don't care to ever own or to screen having not see them in the theater to see if I would like to own streaming is good like HBO e.g. Dark Phoenix. I could've waited for Black Friday and eight dollars but now that I have seen it I have no desire to ever own it. And that is another part of the conversation for people that stream and don't even purchase digital HD movies maybe they should work on creating the connection with if you were to want to own their movies
