I'm debating since I've got one showing 3-4 available but its 90 miles round trip. Ugh. I want something to hook up to my generic dex so I can offload stuff off my S10+.

Waste of time in my opinion. Went to 2 Walmart's this morning around 8:30am. One said 3-4 available and other 6+. There was not even a 2tb one tagged on the shelf rack. Saw both in store a 1tb and 4 tb option only. Thankfully the 2 I went to were only 20 min away. So either you got people clearing out shelves first thing in the morning or Walmart does a terrible job of managing inventory.

Yeah, I've got 4 wm closer but they are all out of stock. Probably just going to keep looking.

I guess this is just another tool but still ymmv. Unless this is your full time job and you have time to drive around to Walmart's all day it could make sense. For the majority here probably a waste of money.

Did anyone actually find one in store this morning?
The one I saw yesterday at my Walmart was in the clearance isle not in electronics

Discounted near me, but all stores are showing out of stock. Guess everyone who caught wind yesterday snatched them all of. Guess I'll have to wait for the next sub$30 2tb external.

Due to this covid situation, I would not go deal hunting. Of course your priorities may be different. But people are avoiding going in the store unless it's absolutely necessary.

I was at Walmart picking up another Slickdeal three days ago and happened across FOUR WD Passport 2TB for MAC drives for 19.00 USD. A couple are USB Type C, a couple are USB 3.0 Type A and there are three different packages. As someone who always needs more storage (Raspi & micro servers, customer backups, 4k drone footage, etc) I was surprised to see a name brand portable 2TB drive so cheap and bought them all. Since they were all different SKU's and a comment the electronics employee made I felt it was a one off employee error and did not post it to Slick Deals. I then when to another local store looking for more of original item and found more drives. I called friends in different areas (even states), they found more. family, etc etc. SO THEY ARE OUT THERE. Procrastination got me again so THANK YOU OP FOR ACTUALLY POSTING THIS AND HELPING OTHERS!!

I do not get all of the negative comments on posts going off about no stock, Slick Deals ban this crap, YMMV, etc etc. I take the majority of Slick Deals posts as a LOT of great people feeling good about a great deal they found and then helping others get a great deal. I don't understand the bad feedback via comments when not everyone can replicate the deal. People saying Brickseek for Walmart is always wrong, well, just don't use it. I personally have pretty good luck using it and use any tool that can help me accomplish my goal smarter not harder. I don't get the use of YMMV most the time on SD posts. Just because there is not stock/availability for everyone, a majority of the people, or only just a few folks, to get a deal does NOT seem like a reason to post saying " this should be YMMV". If that was the case then technically EVERY deal posted here would be YMMV. YMMV should NOT based solely on stock or availability of the posted item but I see that a LOT.

The two Walmarts within 5 miles of my house each have 4-5 in stock. Might have to go get some. Thanks op!

Why is brickseek always wrong. Had to try to bite, got bitten. Would've been a good deal tho.
