It's an alternate history take on the Charles Manson family attack on Sharon Tate back in 1969 (google what actually happened if you don't recall the details)

Many people felt that the Tate murders sent a shock wave through all of Hollywood that permanently changed the culture and ended a classic era. Tarantino is obsessively in love with old Hollywood so you could probably look at this movie as his way of trying to correct the past.

Basically a "What-if the killers went to the house next door instead" scenario and instead of killing innocent people, they just got completely obliterated by a down-and-out actor, his stunt-man buddy and a dog.

But of course Tarantino has to build up to this pay-off with a LOOOOONG and winding exploration into the characters first.

He fancies himself a very good writer of dialogue and he really takes his time just going all in with this movie. I love Tarantino and I enjoyed this movie but it wasn't my favorite film of his.
I'm a huge fan of Tarantino and this film just seemed like a film where he get he can do what he wants and people will still love it. The plot is all over the place, the shots show his fetishes, and I don't think the payoff in the end is worth it. It's an extremely slow movie. I love every single one of his movies but this one...

This is the exact price point I was wanting for this title and format. Thank you so much for sharing.

There's been so much hype and I've seen so many people get this film. I hope I'm not disappointed.

Rep sent your way.

I believe this is the cheapest OUATIH has ever hit on UHD.

Honestly, no. If you have seen Tarantino movies and you like them, I have heard you will like this.

But as someone who hasn't seen his movies and didn't know his style coming in, it was a pretty boring movie with little plot up until the last third of the movie.

If you like a lot of character dialogue/interaction with minimal plot, you'll like it.

Yeah, I'm a little confused about this one. Potential spoilers ahead so don't read if you don't want to know.

So... I don't get it. It was a random day in the life about an aging actor and his stunt double. For some reason. And then for giggles, let's throw a hypothetical situation about Charles Manson's ppl. Just for fun. But why? I completely missed the purpose. Can anyone explain?

I liked it. Not my favorite Tarantino film by far but a good movie nonetheless. Though really long movie that seemed to drag on at times. Some people complain about the ending but so what. Tarantino does movies his way in his own universe. That's really what makes his movies so special. Nothings ever off the table.
