The FN Five-seveN® pistol was developed in the early 1990s and features a cold hammer-forged barrel that is chrome lined for extended service life. The polymer-framed FN Five-seveN® offers single-action operation, low felt recoil, 20-round magazine capacity and is equipped with an ambidextrous, forward-mounted manual safety and an accessory rail that accepts tactical lights and lasers.

I am so debating on purchasing this firearm. Just have to check the FFL for transfer fees and if they are open. I haven't seen this firearm at $1000 in a few years.

I would prefer the Ruger 57, cheaper but a much smaller aftermarket right now.

I paid more than this for mine. Really nice weapon. Lightweight, 20 rounds and a 30 round option, ammo is expensive, a bit long for ccw. It was meant to be a NATO weapon to replace the 9mm. They had armor piercing rounds available as well. Just never really took off though it does have a cult like following. I always get a lot of attention at the range with it.

If you want a very nice, well made, reliable and unique gun I'd vote this one as a buy.

Haven't shot a 57. FNH is the originator, Ruger 57 is a late to the show wannabe. Maybe it'll give the 5.7x28 a boost.

I have shot both and the ruger is better built and has a better safety.
it is also cheaper.
Only problem's finding one in stock at the moment
