Anyone with experience can chime in? Only saw couple YouTube videos and seems decent.

I had it for two weeks, I'm happy with my purchase so far. I mainly use it for fun, occasionally use it to get to places. I live in New York City, I'm surprised that I can take it with me to enter office buildings and even dentist's office, because it's foldable. I'm 180 lbs, I can constantly get around 12 miles per charge, my wife can get around 15 miles per charge. Your mileage may vary based on how heavy you are and what kind of road you are riding on. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Only Segway/Xiao and IM use an app for scooters.

No. Once you reach 1K models you get an interactive display. For app support you have to buy a Ninebot, Xiaomi, or an inmotion scooter.

Waiting on my 5600w 60v w/ 36ah battery. $1100 figured I'd skip the 15mph and go all in

At 15mph a scooter can't keep up with traffic very well.
That was a frequent issue with my 1st escooter in a city. Cars would speed past to overtake...

This gotrax is fine for entertainment, but isn't ideal for commuting to work.

Ive had mine for over a month, max speed on this is 15 (14.9 actually) once you hit 15.4 they put something in it to stop the scooter from accelerating any more vs their gxl v2 which I had b4 that would hit 17mph on flats. But range is sooooo much better compared to my gxl. It's fun to cruise around on and see stuff and reliable due to the range. For 299 and no tax when I bought mine I am happy with the purchase.

I bought 2 of these within the last month. One of the two keeps "folding" while riding - seems extremely dangerous. The safety pin (spring loaded on the grey model) keeps backing out due to a poorly machined black hinge hole; then when the pin backs out while riding - going over any bump will cause the 'red' latch to become undone and the entire handle bars fold over. Nearly wiped out myself going 15mph when scooter folded. Happened 3x in the first week of ownership. Still waiting on GoTrax customer support to respond to case.

The other 1 of 2 scooters I bought didn't have this issue. Other than this, scooters seem pretty good for price.
