We just got the 3000gph (16" I believe) for $181 (it just shipped yesterday), this is a lukewarm deal, mainly due to the fact it's available and sold by Walmart, price wise, not a deal.
Where did you get that one from?

Thanks, been looking for another saltwater pump system to go on sale.

Before adding to your steel framed pool, realize that this can really accelerate rust. Best to be used with the cheaper/more disposable models or resin/resin-covered-steel pools.

Will return this if the #2 post ever responds with a link for the larger system for $181.

I'm also very curious where you got this deal. Was it a saltwater system? Never seen it at this low a price.

Target sells Intex pools. Try this link and click edit store location and there you can chose a button to show in stock locations only and it'll show you the nearest locations that have it (supposedly). It took me about 5 days on constantly checking (early mornings around 7-9 am EST worked best for me) and one popped up at a store 70 miles away or so with the option to buy online for store pickup. It was there ready for me within a couple of hours. I managed to get another one for my brother a few days later at the same store.

I own this and love it. Got it as overkill for my 18' above ground pool. Works great!

I was going to ask if this was overkill for a 15', 36" Summer Waves above ground pool. I guess you've answered my question Stick Out Tongue I think it's something like 2700 gallons. I'm so sick of chlorine tablets and/or bleach

Would happily jump on the deal you got but when I can only find this model for $100+, I figured this was good to share.

I bought it. Not the hottest deal, but these pools and equipment are hard to come by this year so even a bit under MSRP is a deal if you need it. My 7 year old sand filter's bearings are going so this will be a good replacement and to try salt water this year. Thanks for OP.

May be a stupid question, but could this system be used in freshwater pools?

I believe there is an option to turn off the saltwater system. I purchased the Amazon deal but haven't installed it yet. I'm going to go saltwater for better water and less cost/maintenance.
