Incoming comments about how HDMI 30hz is not pleasant to the eye, and very worth to pay more for a hub that includes a 60hz HDMI port

yes, 4k at 30hz, that's how all hubs work.

YMMV on value, this brand has been very visible on forums recently so possible artificially boosted.

Killer feature set for the price IF the quality is decent

they have explicit list of devices tested on the listing, the incompatible ones are:
Incompatibility:
Apple iPad Pro 2018
HP EliteBook 850 G3
HP ELITEBOOK 820 G3
HP Pavilion X2
Samsung Tab S3
Lenovo Yoga 720
ACER Swift 3
ASUS ZenBook Flip UX360
ASUS ZenBook UX530UQ
ASUS Transformer Book T302

also cautionary note re using this as a "hub" ie consistent multiple functions at once:
"It is not recommended to connect several peripherals, especially the hard disk, memory stick, HDMI at the same time because of the limited output power. The total current of all connected devices to Omars 5-Port Hub should not exceed 900mA."

The difference between 30hz and 60hz isn't quite bad on the eyes; While yes it is obviously not the same, the lag is more about how smooth your mouse moves.

Most movies are shot under 30fps, so watching one you may not notice it. But when you move your mouse, it will be obviously choppy at 30hz.

With devices like these that send display signal at 4k resolution, it is always safe to assume it is 30hz unless they explicitly stated 60hz. The brand will be proud of 60hz and will boast it in the title and box cover if it can handle that.

What's a good, cheap dual 4k 60hz hub (or rather dock)?

I don't think anyone made 60hz hub yet.

Is this just good for USB data reading and charging purpose? I have no intention of using it to connect to any displays using HDMI or whatever.

They're not cheap because they need a lot of bandwidth.
Uptab makes a 4k 60hz $80 one that I have and I'm happy with but it only has one HDMI port.
Dual HDMI ones run over $150 when I dug for them 😔

Rep for posting a good price. I had other hubs and wanted a spare one at $10. After I read 1 and 2 stars reviews, I decided not to buy this. Users listed charging, display, and reliability issues. EEK!

Could this be used as an HDMI out for an android phone as well as additional usb ports? Could turn my phone into a portable emulation system for when I travel. Bonus if it were an HDMI in too, but I doubt that.
