Great price as long as you can find store around you for selling $25.
Unfortunately, closest store is 30 miles away and have 1 - 2 in stock.
Thumbs up for effort.

Oh yeah i understand. I'm the one that helps with some of the other oil posts.
This is the annual protection not the full synthetic as to what you're both referring to.
Plus some people like having the jug but not me.

They'll all go down futher eventually. Just an early heads up!

$25 for the Extended Performance High Mileage formula minus $12 rebate. Free shipping over $35 too so I didn't have to deal with the crowd. Works great as a filler item for getting some alcohol or hand sanitizer when they come into stock.

I wouldn't trust their Annual Protection label. I would still change the oil every 5,000 miles or every year whichever comes first. Oil is cheap, engine is not.
Oil is cheap, but time is not. Most modern cars don't need 5k oil changes anymore. Would be interesting to see statistics of car engine failure due to oil change intervals.

Then why would you buy it . Synthetic oil lasts a lot longer than reg oil.

Can you show any proof of longer engine life if you change at Manufacturer recommend intervals?

Look up Duke of Oil by Bill Grannis. It has to do with marine outboards but I imagine there are some take aways for automotive as well.

I'm not saying this is not a good product. I'm only using it conservatively as usual synthetic oil. It really comes down to how you drive your car. If you're doing 80% high way driving, you could easily hit 5,000 mile mark, and you're likely fine with changing the oil at longer intervals because the engine wears less when you're cruising on the high way.
If you're driving mostly in the city stop and go traffic, it'll take you much longer to get 5,000 miles, but your engine actually wears out faster in that 5,000 miles. Mobil 1 will not tell you how they tested the 15,000 miles, and they surely won't pay for your engine repair if you run into any trouble using their oil.
If you're only changing it once or twice a year, it'll cost you a couple of hundred bucks at most. Do it for a decade and it's still much cheaper than an engine repair.

Im just asking you to show me how changing it at 5,000 prevents engine wear?

The auto manufacturers have the best testing equipment in the world. Why do you believe they would tell you your car can go 10,000 if it would do damage. They don't pay for oil changes so wouldn't they error on the save side?

Even the oil companies who would make even more money by you changing oil early say it's not needed.

If you want to know for sure have an oil analysis and go from there. Google Blackstone on how to do it.

All I'm saying is way waste money you don't need to.

Have a great day.

I wonder how this compares to other tiers of Mobil 1 motor oils. I've always use full synthetic advance fuel economy for mine. Never tried this one
