This happened to me. I called to ask about the visa gift cards and they just offered me an equal discount off of the price instead and the gift cards. Also I purchased this TV several weeks ago with $900 in visa gift cards given as a credit off the price. Theres also a slickdeals thread for c9 77 at costco for $3200 YMMV
I see a B9, not a C9.

Thanks but it looks like the link is for the 77" B9 not the 77" CX. Thanks for responding though

I don't know about that. The 2019 C9 is $3599 through Greentoe right now.

Even if you can get the GCs as an immediate discount, I think I'd still do the C9 for $3599 than the CX for $4057.

The OLED is fresh, local, sustainable, naturally raised, organic, non-GMO, fair-trade, and responsibly grown.

The LED is almost half the price per pound.

It's the same old thing- "But...but...the 'Q' on the QLED and 'O' on the OLED look nearly the same, so the TV quality must be nearly the same, right...?"

Saw the guy on RAFCAVE Youtube channel return his new 4K OLED for one of these new Samsung 8k TVs. Yeah, that lasted about a day, then he swapped back again ASAP. laugh out loud

It has a faster GPU and superior black frame insertion as main highlights compared to the C9, and supports AV1 codec.
Since it will be asked, it's only worth buying if the price between the two is close
Stay away from this new 2020 OLED. LG really messed it up. Last year's C9 is full bandwidth on all ports. The 2020 model is only full bandwidth on ONE PORT. LG Nerfed it.

C9 is the one to get.

You mean an "old technology" that has DESTROYED Samsung's QLED TVs every time they go head to head in reviews? That tech?

Yeah, I'll take the superior LG OLED tech. Thanks.

whats the big deal about not having full bandwith the tv isn't even 12bit. cx is everyway better and has better features in addition to having native support for 4k 120hz , c9 doesn't have that besides pc mode where you are losing color and some other content.
It will take LG another 2-3 years to have fully support for 4k 120hz for these PC gamers without restrictions.

CX is WORSE than C9 in at least 5 important ways:
  • C9 48Gbps / CX 40Gbps
  • C9 12 bit / CX 10 Bit
  • C9 Full bandwidth on all HDMI ports / CX Full on ONE Hdmi port
  • C9 is brighter max whites than CX (this is important on OLED which is brightness challenged in general)
  • C9 has DTS / CX does not

There are probably more, but these are enough to disqualify the CX.

Honestly, I blame Samsung. Adding the "q" was misleading and was a way for them to capitalize on the name. Your average consumer doesn't know the difference between an OLED and QLED TV (aside from the fact that OLEDs are farm grown with no additives)

Don't get me wrong, I realize that an LED has its perk (brightness) but the fact that this is even a discussion shows that many people choose to speak before they learn.

Since when was oled old technology? Cable TV doesn't even support 4k standard yet and there isn't any 8k native content. It will still take some time for 8k to be considered. It is not ready yet. Oled > qled
